Reimagining function to preserve form.

The Unfolding Chair pays homage to the iconic 1941 Steel Folding Chair by Kruger Metal Products, reimagining its design through a sculptural lens. By removing its ability to fold and nest, the chair transforms into a static artifact, immortalizing its form and significance in history.

Crafted in cast bronze using sand casting techniques, the piece is available in Satin and High Polish finishes.

This project was brought to life through the collaborative efforts of Kuan-Wen Chiu, Ben Stagl, Bo Rodda, Jason Gillette, and Max Davis.
